Well its been so long since I wrote my last blog that Im going to have a hard time remembering all that we've done but this is just a snapshot.  We have now left Adelaide after being there for a few months and are making our way very slowly to Melbourne to get the ferry across to Tasmania at the end of October.  We have only bought a one way ticket as we don 't know how long we will stay.

We had a wonderful time in Adelaide with the family and spent so much time with our grandchildren which made it all the more special. We had a family fun day with a bbq and picnic up at Belair National Park.  Lexi our granddaughter is really grown up now and we took her on a little caravan adventure to Mannum for 4 days and she (and us) had a ball.  Pish taught her to fish and she was casting out with the best of them.  She was also the first one to catch a fish.  While in Mannum we bought an inflatable kyak at a bargain price so of course Pish and Lexi had to go exploring.

We decided to be tourists in our old home town and had a few trips into the city and it was different seeing it through the tourist's eyes.  In the middle of our stay we decided to fly up to Queensland and see our friends back in Airlie Beach and also to try and get away from some of the bitter Adelaide weather.  We had 3 weeks in Airlie with good friends and then we flew down to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast and stayed with my cousin and her husband and then some other friends.  It was really good to catch up with people again as we have been away for 16 months now.

Then it was back to Adelaide and I finally managed to book my hot air balloon ride adventure which my sons and their wives had given me last year for my 60th birthday.  This was over Strathalbyn at a really stupid time in the morning but it was well worth it.  It was wonderful seeing the sun rise from the balloon and it was a glorious feeling of just floating.  People said to me they couldn't do it because they are scared of heights but really I didn't get a great sense of height up there.

We caught up with old friends and the rest of the family and had a good time reminiscing!!

That's what the stay in Adelaide was all about - FAMILY which at the end of the day is really important.  Love you all.

Not really much else to report - as I said we are slowly making our way along the River Murray to Melbourne, free camping as much as possible so until the next time its Adieu from The Wandering 2s.
